After graduating from istanbul Law School, Mustafa Necati, who was born in 1894 in izmir, turned back to izmir and started teaching at izmir Teacher Training School for Girls. He founded "Şark idadisi (Oriental Lycee)" with his friend Hüseyin Vasif Çınar. After izmir had been occupied by Greeks, he fled to istanbul and was appointed to Balıkesir by istanbul Government. Arriving in Balikesir on 19 September 1919, he resigned from his duty but stayed in Balikesir. Here he started a nevvspaper named "izmir'e Doğru" with his friend Hüseyin Vasif. He was elected a member of the First National Assembly as Saruhan (Manisa) deputy and of the Second as izmir deputy. He was a member of Court of Independence in Sivas and the head judge of Court of Independence in Kastamonu. He vvas in the service of the country as "Minister of Exchange, Development and Housing", and "Minister of Justice". Hovvever, he became unforgettable for his unique services vvhile he vvas the Minister of Education betvveen 20 December 1925 and 1 January 1929. in this period vvas respected teaching as the core for education services. Important efforts vvere made for training qualified teachers and, most important of ali, the Latin alphabet vvas adopted during his mission. He passed avvay on 1 January 1929, vvhen "Public Schools" vvere established to teach peopie the nevv Turkish alphabet. Today Necatibey Faculty of Education, vvhich vvas commemorated after his name, vvas founded during his period.
